A man was suffering from poverty
I mean he could taste the poor in his mouth and he had 12 kids obviously
When the thirteenth one arrived he said your kidding me you gotta be
I've run out of relations that could be godfathers possibly
So he went down the road on the lookout for someone to be
The baby's godfather and the very first one he sees
Is believe it or not
God but the man refuses stubbornly
He says you've always fucked with me you only love the monarchy
And people that are rich and own bare property
It's blatant inequality
You won't be my youts godfather your disposition bothers me
So he continues down the road responsibly
And bumps into the Devil yes the Devil what a comedy
Well you can't be the Godfather the man goes to him solemnly
You're deceitful and disgraceful and you're tricking people constantly
And with that he walked on till he bumped into Death yeah honestly
Then asked him do you wanna be Godfather to my progeny

And Death said

I can make him feel like he's conquered time
Give him bones of steel and the blood of wine
I can teach him arts long forgotten how to heal what is rotten and conceal all the problems inside

The boy was christened and Death took the godfather position
On a mission to impart his wisdom the hardest decision
He shared the secret of dying and living
On the boys nineteenth birthday he took him aside and said listen
These herbs can give life just apply them to victims
And they'll find that they've risen to a higher position
But if you see me standing there you mustn't try but just give in
For that means their time has come and you can hire a mortician
But never try to cheat me boy there's no defying the system
The boy promised Death that he would not deny his permission
After several years the boy was an admired physician
He healed the sick just like some kind of magician it's quite a tradition
One day he saw a patient in a frightened condition
She was a girl about to die Death stood beside her and listened
As she cried the boy decides to save her life in an instant
He administered the herbs then said can I be forgiven? but Death said

That wasn't the deal though Godson of mine
Now I shall reveal there's another sign
When I lift my scythe you'll be gone and then the price for her problem is your life so so long and goodbye
